Chelmsford 3 bedroom house with 5.4% return…


I know, I know, this house isn’t the most attractive of properties, but it’s not too bad inside (might want to neutralise the paint work in the kitchen though!) Avon Road is a popular spot, close to schooling and they are pretty decent sizes as well. 

This particular property has come to the market with an asking price of £220,000, which seems to me to be fairly reasonable, it’s 3 bedrooms!!

We have rented a couple of similar properties in this road and would expect you would be able to achieve around £1000 pcm. Doing my calculations, you are looking at a potential yield of 5.4%, certainly not to be sniffed at. Also with a house, you haven;t got to worry about additional service charges and ground rent,
